Introducing our two new Artisan creations.

Over the last 6 years we’ve been delighting Chocolate Lovers with our exquisite Artisan range; our latest addition being the delightfully indulgent 45% Rich Cocoa Creamy Milk block.

Now, we’re taking you to the South Island plains with our new freshly roasted Canterbury Hazelnut block. Both are silky smooth, and melt-in-mouth delicious.

We’re nuts about Canterbury

J.H Whittaker founded our chocolate company out of his Addington home in Christchurch in 1896. It’s only natural that we head home to source the wonderful hazelnuts produced there. The whiteheart cultivar hazelnut is the predominant variety found in these parts.

Even better, these luscious creamy white-coloured hazelnuts undergo a gentle roasting step, resulting in a delicious, rounded roasted hazelnut flavour. One that could only come from Canterbury! 

Crafting delightfully rich perfection

45% Rich Cocoa Creamy Milk. At its base is our supremely smooth signature chocolate, our 5 Roll Refined Creamy Milk that Kiwis love. We’ve added an exacting touch more of cocoa, creating the perfect balance in this Artisan block at 45%. It’s deceptively simple and utterly moreish with a lasting cocoa flavour.

An old favourite reimagined

We craft our Creamy Milk chocolate, our signature block and the base of our latest 45% Rich Cocoa addition, by batch-roasting Ghana’s finest cocoa, which is Rainforest Alliance Certified™ too. Then, for utter smoothness, we refine it five times with our Swiss 5 Roll Refiner. We’ve added the perfect touch more of our decadent dark chocolate for a lasting rich cocoa flavour and velvety melt-in-your mouth feel.

From family-owned Mossop’s Manuka Honey, to Wellington Supreme Coffee, or simply, creamy New Zealand milk - local ingredients are an important part of why our Artisan Range tastes the way it does.
