They turned out really yummy, I added 1/2tsp each of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger along with the vanilla so it would taste a bit like hot cross buns. I could only find gelatine leaves so used a packet of those, 20g. I cut them a lot smaller, bite size. Would make again for Christmas because they look a bit like little presents.
