I made the cakes yesterday and did the coulis and ganache today for my Lillians first birthday cake!
Simple cake, was hesitant when I realized there were no eggs or butter but had faith in the Whittaker's to provide the goods and was not let down. I've come back to save the recipe since it will get lost in the group chat I've been referring too 😂
I did get confused when the recipe called got grams of raspberries, I assumed roughly a bit more than a cup but when I Google, a cup of raspberries is roughly 120g.. so didn't follow recipe on that but hard to mess that up I think...
Then for the ganache I melted choc in microwave as I didn't have big enough bowl for the CHOC to go on double boiler, and just added the cream straight from can, slowly til got my desired consistency only quarter of a can or so. Also I did one block of dark choc 50% and the rest in milk choc, and I was surprised, I quite like the dark choc now so thanks for getting me out of my comfort zone 😅
Can't wait to try a different Whittaker's recipe now.
